Separate systems are where sites get caught out
The classic failure is a site with three systems from three companies that have never spoken to each other. The alarm goes off, but nobody can pull the footage. The camera saw the person, but nobody knows which card opened the door. The intercom releases a gate that the access system does not log.
When one team designs the lot, an alarm activation triggers recording and deterrent lighting, an access event calls up the nearest camera, and every one of those things lands in the same audit trail. That is the whole argument for integration, and it costs less to build in from day one than to retrofit later.

Can I get several services on one quote?
Yes, and it is normally cheaper. Cameras, alarms, access control and intercoms share cabling paths, network infrastructure and labour. Quoting them together means one set of cable runs, one mobilisation and one commissioning visit instead of three.
Do all your systems integrate with each other?
They are designed to. An access control event can call up the nearest camera, an alarm activation can trigger recording and deterrent lighting, and an intercom call can unlock a door and log it. Inner Range Integriti and Inception in particular do this natively, which is why we specialise in them.
Do you work outside business hours?
Regularly. Retail, hospitality and warehouse clients often need work done after close or before open so trading is not disrupted. Tell us your operating window when you enquire and we will quote to it.
What is the difference between a service call and a maintenance plan?
A service call is reactive — something has failed and we come and fix it at standard rates. A preventative maintenance plan is scheduled testing, cleaning, firmware updates and reporting, plus priority response and discounted labour. Plans almost always cost less over a year than the emergency calls they prevent.
Can you provide documentation for insurers or auditors?
Yes. Every job is documented with photos, device schedules and, for network work, full topology diagrams showing switches, port-to-port connections, VLANs and IP addressing. Insurers, auditors and incoming IT providers all ask for this and most sites cannot produce it.
Do you supply equipment only?
Yes — our online shop sells security, networking and IT hardware Australia-wide. If you want supply and install, ask for a combined quote instead; the labour is usually where the savings are.
How long does a typical installation take?
A small office alarm or four-camera CCTV system is generally a single day. Eight to sixteen cameras with a new rack is two to three days. Access control across multiple doors, or anything involving core cabling and switch replacement, is scoped individually — and we will give you a date range in the quote, not a vague estimate.
Which brands do you install?
Inner Range (Integriti and Inception), Bosch, Tecom Challenger, Hills Reliance, Hanwha Wisenet, Hikvision, Dahua, Genetec, March Networks, Aiphone, Comelit, Akuvox and Ubiquiti. Being brand independent means we specify what suits the site rather than what we are contracted to move.
