Residential

Same technicians, same standards, smaller site

Most of our work is commercial, and that is precisely why homeowners come to us. The equipment we install in a supermarket is the equipment we install in your house — sized down, but not compromised.

It also means the install is done the way a commercial job is done: cabling concealed, terminations tidy, every device tested before we leave, and the household trained on how to actually use it. Customers consistently tell us the thing they noticed most was that no cables were left visible.

  • House alarm systemsProperly zoned, pet-tolerant, and configured so you will actually arm it.

Home security Melbourne

What good residential security looks like

Effective home security is layered. Visible deterrence at the boundary, detection at entry points, recording that captures a usable image, and a response plan if something happens while you are away.

The most common gaps we find on residential audits are cameras mounted too high to identify anyone, no coverage over the side gate or garage, and alarms that were never zoned for a pet so the family stopped arming them within a month.

Neighbourhood effect

One customer told us their neighbours started parking where the cameras could see, and the local police were glad of it after a house across the road was broken into twice. Good residential CCTV does not just protect one property — it tends to make the whole street a harder target.

We install across metropolitan Melbourne, with strong coverage through Dandenong, Keysborough, Noble Park, Richmond and Frankston.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call us on 0433 633 777 — you'll speak to a technician, not a call centre.

What does a home alarm system cost in Melbourne?

A properly installed house alarm with keypad, siren, and detectors covering the main living areas and entry points typically runs $1,800 to $3,200. Adding cameras usually brings the total to $4,000 to $6,500 for a family home. Monitoring is around $30 to $45 a month if you want it.

Why not just buy a DIY kit?

You can, and for a small unit it may be enough. The differences show up at larger properties: detector placement that avoids pets and heaters, cameras positioned so faces are identifiable rather than a blur, cabling instead of batteries that die, and a system that will not false-trigger until you stop arming it.

Can I cover a shed, garage or driveway?

Yes, and it is one of the most common requests. Sheds, garages and driveways are where tools, vehicles and trailers get taken from. Cameras with good low-light performance plus active deterrence lighting make a real difference — as one customer put it, top-line night vision stopped the problem outright.

Will the cameras record my neighbours?

We aim and mask cameras to cover your property and its approaches. Privacy masking zones can black out areas such as a neighbour's window or yard permanently in the recording. It is worth getting right, and we discuss it at design stage.

Can I see everything on my phone?

Yes — live view, playback, notifications and door release on intercom systems, all from your phone. We set up accounts and permissions for everyone in the household during commissioning rather than leaving you to it.

Do you repair existing home alarms?

Yes. Home alarm service and repair is regular work for us — failing batteries and power supplies, detectors past their life, panels nobody has the code for, and systems the original installer no longer supports. See repairs.

Does a home alarm reduce my insurance?

Often, particularly if it is monitored. Insurers generally recognise professionally installed and monitored systems. Check with your insurer, and we can supply the installation documentation they ask for.

Do you install intercoms for houses?

Yes — video intercoms at the front gate or door, answered from a wall monitor or your phone, with electric gate and strike release. Multi-monitor setups through the house are straightforward. See intercom systems.
