Built to last

Aiphone for buildings that plan past next year

Aiphone is the intercom brand customers ask for by name, and the reason is unglamorous: the systems keep working, parts stay available, and upgrade paths exist so a building is not forced into a full rebuild every time technology moves.

We install Aiphone across offices, warehouses, medical centres and apartment buildings throughout Melbourne — single door stations through to multi-entry systems serving hundreds of units — and we service the systems other people installed.

  • Video door stationsHigh-resolution video with clear two-way audio at the entry.

Melbourne installer

Aiphone intercom specialists across Melbourne

Nootz specialises in professional installation of intercom systems from AIPHONE, Comelit, HIKVISION and Akuvox. Each system is configured for clear communication, ease of use and seamless integration with your property's security setup.

Where Aiphone stands out is in buildings that need to think long term. An apartment block replacing an intercom is committing for ten to fifteen years, and the deciding factors are parts availability, upgrade paths and whether the system can be serviced by someone other than the original installer. Aiphone scores well on all three.

For a single site or a house, we will still tell you honestly if a Comelit or Akuvox system gives you the same result for less. See intercom systems for the full range.

Answers

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call us on 0433 633 777 — you'll speak to a technician, not a call centre.

Why is Aiphone so widely specified?

Longevity and support. Aiphone systems installed a decade ago are still running, parts remain available, and the product lines are designed so buildings can upgrade without ripping out risers. For owners corporations especially, that matters more than a slightly lower purchase price.

Can Aiphone calls come to a smartphone?

Yes on the IP ranges. Residents or staff see the visitor, speak to them and release the door from anywhere with a data connection, while wall monitors keep working normally for anyone who prefers them.

Can Aiphone work over our existing two-wire cabling?

Often, yes. Several Aiphone ranges are designed for retrofit over existing riser cabling, which removes the most disruptive part of an apartment upgrade. We test the risers before quoting so the answer is based on your building.

How much does an Aiphone system cost?

A single door station with one internal monitor typically runs $1,400 to $2,600 installed. Multi-unit apartment systems are priced per unit and entry — as a guide, $600 to $1,200 per apartment for full video, with larger buildings costing less per unit.

Can you repair our existing Aiphone system?

Yes. Typical faults are power supplies, water ingress on external stations, damaged riser cabling and failed handsets. We diagnose and repair rather than defaulting to a replacement quote, and parts availability on Aiphone is unusually good.

Does it integrate with door access and lifts?

Yes. We integrate Aiphone with access control so entries are logged properly, and with lift floor control and car park gates for apartment buildings.

Can one system cover several entries?

Yes — main entry, rear door, car park gate and loading dock can all be on one system with call routing deciding which handsets ring for each station.

Do you handle owners corporation approval?

Yes. Quotes written for a committee, staged installation so residents always have entry access, variations documented with photos by email. See apartment intercom systems.
