How many cameras does my business need?
Fewer than most quotes suggest, but placed far better. The usual pattern is every entry and exit, the till or cash-handling area, the loading dock or roller door, and one wide view of each open trading or storage area. Blanket coverage costs a fortune and still misses the moment that matters. Our audit maps this properly before anyone quotes a camera count.
What is AI detection actually good for?
Filtering noise. Instead of thousands of motion events from headlights, rain and possums, modern systems alert on a person in an area after hours, a vehicle of a particular colour or type, a plate on a watchlist, or someone loitering longer than a set time. It turns a passive recorder into something that actually tells you when to look.
Do active deterrence cameras really work?
Yes, noticeably. Cameras with red and blue warning lights and a siren that trigger on an after-hours detection stop most opportunistic intruders before they commit. Several of our retail and warehouse clients moved to them after break-ins and have not had a repeat.
Will the footage be usable if something happens?
That depends on decisions made at install time — lens choice, mounting height, lighting, frame rate and retention. We design for identification at the points that matter rather than a wide blur across the whole site. One client's IP camera picked up audio of an altercation from 30–40 metres away and it was used as evidence in court.
How long will my CCTV keep recording?
We size storage for 30 days as standard, because incidents are often discovered weeks later. Many systems we audit are quietly retaining four or five days because nobody calculated storage against camera count and resolution.
Can I watch the cameras from my phone?
Yes. Live view, playback and push notifications on iOS and Android, plus desktop access. We set up the accounts and permissions during commissioning and show your team how to export footage properly — which matters when police ask for it.
Can you repair or upgrade my existing cameras?
