Real protection
An alarm system is your first line of defence
But most systems are outdated, poorly configured, or not properly maintained — leaving businesses exposed at exactly the moment it matters.
At Nootz we design and install reliable, integrated alarm systems that go beyond basic detection: full control, real-time alerts and long-term reliability. Zoning follows how your site actually operates, so the warehouse can be armed while the office is still working, and the cleaner can access one area without disarming everything.
- Instant alertsReal-time notification the moment an alarm triggers, wherever you are.
- DeterrenceVisible alarm devices stop most intruders before an attempt is made.
- 24/7 protectionRound-the-clock sensors and optional monitoring, day and night.
- Lower insurance premiumsStronger, documented security can reduce business cover costs.
- Custom configurationsOffice, shop, warehouse or industrial — zoned to your layout and risks.
- Full integrationWorks with your CCTV and access control.

Audits & upgrades
Many alarms fail because of setup, not hardware
Our alarm audit is free and covers the five things that actually cause systems to fail in the field.

Sensor performance and placement
Are detectors covering the right approaches, at the right height, and are they still within their working life?
Coverage gaps and blind spots
The roller door, the skylight, the back fence gate — the routes an intruder will actually take.
False alarm risks
Heaters, roller doors, air conditioning, pets and entry-exit timing that does not match reality.
System configuration issues
Zones that were never programmed, users who left years ago, outputs that do nothing.
Integration with existing infrastructure
Whether the alarm, cameras, doors and network are actually talking to each other.

Alarm systems for every property type
We install alarms in retail shops, offices, warehouses, factories, workshops, childcare centres, apartment complexes and homes. Small sites often suit a Bosch Solution panel; multi-area commercial and industrial sites almost always benefit from Inner Range, where partitioning, user management and automation genuinely change how the system gets used day to day.
If your site is in the south-east we are minutes away — see alarm systems in Dandenong, Hallam and Keysborough.

Answers
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call us on 0433 633 777 — you'll speak to a technician, not a call centre.
Why do so many alarm systems get ignored?
Because they false-trigger. Sensors aimed at heaters, roller doors or air conditioning, pets in armed zones, and entry-exit timing that does not match how staff actually arrive. Once a system cries wolf three times, nobody arms it — and an unarmed alarm is worth nothing. Correcting configuration is one of the most common fixes our audits produce.
What is the difference between a commercial and a home alarm?
Zoning, expandability and grading. Commercial panels handle many partitions so different areas can be armed independently around shifts, support hundreds of users with individual codes and audit trails, and integrate with access control and CCTV. Domestic panels are built for a single household and one arming pattern.
Can you upgrade my existing alarm instead of replacing it?
Frequently, yes. Hardwired detectors in good condition can often be reused with a modern panel, which is where most of the cost saving is. We assess sensor condition, cabling and coverage during the audit and tell you what is genuinely worth keeping.
Which alarm brands do you recommend?
For commercial and industrial sites we specialise in Inner Range Integriti and Inception, and we are experts in Tecom Challenger, Bosch and Hills Reliance. For smaller sites a Bosch Solution panel is excellent value. Being brand independent, the recommendation follows the site.
Does the alarm need to be monitored?
Not necessarily, but an unmonitored alarm only makes noise and sends an app notification you may not see. Back-to-base monitoring puts a graded response in motion within seconds and creates the event log insurers ask for after a claim.
Can the alarm control lighting, doors or air conditioning?
Yes on the platforms we specialise in. Inner Range Inception and Integriti include automation outputs — arm the alarm and lights go off, doors lock down and HVAC drops back. It is one of the more useful features almost nobody has configured.
What does an alarm system audit cover?
Sensor performance and placement, coverage gaps and blind spots, false-alarm risks, system configuration issues and integration with existing infrastructure. You get the findings in writing. Full detail on our security system audit page.
How long does an alarm installation take?
A small office or shop is usually one day. A warehouse or multi-area commercial site with partitioned zones is typically two to three. Panel replacements reusing existing detectors are often half a day, which is why upgrading rather than rebuilding is so often the better call.
