Australian made

One system for alarm, access and automation

Inner Range builds the platform we specify most often for Melbourne commercial sites, and the reason is simple: intrusion detection and access control are the same system rather than two products pretending to co-operate.

That changes daily operation. A card presented at the rear door disarms only the warehouse area. An after-hours alarm locks down internal doors automatically. Every door, area and user action ends up in a single searchable log — the thing you need when you are trying to work out what actually happened at 2am.

Nootz holds Integriti certified and advanced technician credentials, and we design, install, program, take over and maintain both platforms.

Melbourne installer

Certified Inner Range installers across Melbourne

Inner Range restricts who may purchase and program its equipment, which is worth knowing when you compare quotes. An accredited installer can support the system through its life; an unaccredited one leaves you dependent on whoever comes next.

We work with Integriti and Inception across offices, warehouses, apartment buildings, healthcare and multi-site retail throughout Melbourne. Because it handles both alarm and access control, it is usually the cheapest path to genuine integration rather than the most expensive.

If you already have Inner Range gear and are not sure what it can do, book a free security system audit. We frequently find sites running a fraction of the capability already installed.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call us on 0433 633 777 — you'll speak to a technician, not a call centre.

What is the difference between Integriti and Inception?

Inception is a self-contained, browser-managed controller ideal for small to mid-sized sites — no software to install, quick to deploy, and strong on automation. Integriti is the enterprise platform: multi-site, thousands of users, sophisticated reporting and deep third-party integration. We size the choice to your site rather than defaulting to the bigger one.

Why do you recommend Inner Range so often?

Because access control and intrusion live in the same system rather than being bolted together. A valid card can disarm just that area, an alarm event can lock down doors, and everything lands in one audit trail. It is also Australian designed and manufactured, with local support that actually answers.

Are your technicians certified?

Yes — we hold Inner Range Integriti certified and advanced technician credentials. Inner Range restricts who can buy and program this equipment, which is worth knowing when comparing quotes: not every company offering it is accredited to support it.

Can you take over an existing Inner Range system?

Regularly. Takeovers usually involve regaining administrative access, auditing how the system was programmed, cleaning up users and areas that have accumulated over the years, and documenting it properly. Many systems we inherit are running a fraction of the capability they were paid for.

What can Inception automate?

Lighting, HVAC, roller doors, gates, boom gates and lift control, driven by schedules, alarm state or access events. Arm the site and lights go off, doors lock and air conditioning drops back. Most customers have this capability and have never had it configured.

Does it work with our cameras?

Yes. Inner Range integrates with major video platforms so an alarm or access event can call up the associated camera and bookmark the footage. We commonly pair it with Hikvision, Dahua, Genetec and March Networks depending on site requirements.

Can staff use their phones instead of fobs?

Yes — mobile credentials are supported, which suits contractors and staff who forget fobs. Credentials can be issued and revoked remotely and set to expire automatically on a given date.

What does an Inception system cost?

A single-door Inception system with alarm detection for a small commercial site generally starts around $4,500 to $7,000 installed. Cost scales with doors, detectors and expanders rather than jumping in big steps, which makes it a sensible platform to start small on and grow.
