Security work in Southbank
Southbank has one of the densest concentrations of high-rise residential in the country, sitting alongside offices, hospitality along the promenade and the arts precinct. The security problems are the ones towers always have: too many front doors, a car park anyone can tailgate into, and a committee that has to approve the spend.
We do resident and visitor access control, video intercom retrofits, lift and garage control and common-area CCTV — staged so residents keep their access throughout, with documentation an owners corporation can actually put to a vote.

Southbank security questions
Straight answers to the questions we get asked most. If yours isn't here, call us on 0433 633 777 — you'll speak to a technician, not a call centre.
Can you retrofit an intercom without re-cabling the tower?
Very often, yes. Two-wire and coaxial risers in older Southbank buildings will usually carry a modern video intercom. We test the riser before quoting, because that single measurement decides whether the job is fifteen thousand dollars or sixty.
How do you work in an occupied apartment building?
In stages, with written notice to residents. The old intercom keeps answering until the new one is commissioned, entry doors are never left unsecured overnight, and lift and car park works are booked with the building manager.
Can residents answer the door station on their phone?
Yes. Most systems we install answer on a wall monitor, a phone, or both — which is mainly what stops parcels being abandoned in the lobby when nobody is home.
What can CCTV cover in a residential tower?
Common property only — lobbies, lifts, car parks, bin rooms, mail areas and entries. Never into a private lot. We document camera positions and fields of view so the committee has something concrete to show residents.
Do you handle car park and lift access?
Yes. Lift control restricts each credential to the floors that resident is entitled to, and the car park roller door and storage cages go on the same system and the same fob.
How much does a Southbank apartment upgrade cost?
A small block of 8 to 20 apartments replacing the intercom and adding common-area CCTV generally runs $12,000 to $30,000. Towers with lift control and multiple car park levels are quoted individually and can be staged across budgets.
Will you present to an owners corporation meeting?
Yes. We supply scope, itemised pricing, datasheets and a certificate of currency in a form a committee can vote on, and we will attend a meeting to answer questions if it moves the decision along.
Do you cover offices in Southbank too?
Yes — access control, discreet CCTV, visitor intercom and comms room protection for commercial tenancies, plus the structured cabling underneath.
